What really matters in e-commerce

A successful online shop is never the result of good design alone. What counts is the interplay of performant shop technology, frictionless checkout flows and a platform that scales with your growth. That is exactly where we come in as an e-commerce agency: from Shopware and headless commerce to deep ERP and PIM integration.

We think about your shop from the customer and the revenue first: fast load times, a well-designed customer journey and cleanly measured conversion points. That turns visitors into returning customers and your shop into a reliable sales channel.

  • Performance & load time

Every second of load time costs conversion. We optimise Core Web Vitals, caching and server response times measurably.

  • Scalable platform

An open-source base like Shopware, with no vendor lock-in and full control over code, data and roadmap.

  • Connected systems

ERP, PIM, payment and shipping cleanly linked, so orders run automatically instead of manually.

  • Conversion & data

We measure what matters and optimise along real numbers instead of gut feeling.

Why Shopware?

Open platform. Full control. Grows with you.

Partnership, not a black box

We build e-commerce from the customer back: clear discovery, iterative development and transparent communication. You're involved at every stage.

Discovery & strategy
Goals, audiences, scope and integrations are defined up front. That's the basis for a solid quote.
Concept & UX
Information architecture, user flows and checkout are planned before a single line of code.
Iterative development
We build in sprints and show working results early. You give feedback throughout, not just at the end.
Launch & quality
Testing, performance and security are part of it. Go-live is planned, not improvised.
Operations & evolution
After launch we stay on board: support, steady release cycles and continuous optimization.

E-commerce – frequently asked questions

What does building an online shop with nextlevels cost?
It depends heavily on scope. A manageable shop based on Shopware typically starts in the low five-figure range, while complex B2B or headless projects with ERP and PIM interfaces sit above that. On top come running costs for hosting, licenses and maintenance as a separate line item. You get a concrete fixed-price offer after a short discovery in which we clarify requirements, interfaces and data volumes.
How long until my shop goes live?
It depends on the project type. A clearly scoped standard B2C shop usually goes live in 8 to 12 weeks; a migration or a B2B/headless project with ERP and PIM integration takes more like 4 to 6 months. The range depends on the number of interfaces, the complexity of your assortment and the data migration. We work in iterations: you see a working state early and give feedback, rather than only seeing the finished result at the end. You get the binding phase plan with a go-live date after discovery, not only after the project starts.
Which shop system do you recommend – Shopware, headless or something else?

Our focus is Shopware, because as an open-source system it is powerful, extensible and well established in the German mid-market. We recommend headless architectures (Shopware as backend, your own frontend) when you need maximum frontend freedom or special performance. We make the decision based on your requirements, not on principle – a simple shop doesn't need a headless setup.

Can you migrate my existing shop?
Yes. We migrate existing shops in four clearly separated phases: technical audit, data migration (product data, customers, order history), parallel development of the new platform and cutover with active monitoring. We carry over your URL structure via a complete 301 redirect concept that we check against a live crawl of your old shop, so your SEO substance is preserved. We plan the cutover without a big bang and without a drop in revenue; after go-live we actively monitor rankings and error rates for several weeks and adjust as needed.
Do you support B2B, B2C and D2C equally?
Yes. In B2C, conversion, speed and a frictionless checkout matter most. In B2B, requirements such as customer-specific price lists, tiered pricing, order approvals, quotation features and ERP integration come into play. We support D2C brands from brand staging to the logistics interface. We build the shop around your business model, not the other way round.
How do you ensure performance and scalability?
Performance isn't an afterthought for us but part of the architecture. We optimize for good Core Web Vitals, use caching, a CDN and clean database indexes, and test behavior under load. That keeps your shop fast and stable even during load peaks such as sales campaigns or Black Friday.
What about data protection, security and payment processing?
We build shops GDPR-compliant and integrate payments via certified payment providers, so no sensitive card data sits on your server. Updates, secure configuration and a roles-and-permissions concept are standard for us. In e-commerce, security isn't an optional add-on but a prerequisite for trust and conversion.
Who owns the shop – does vendor lock-in arise?
You own everything: code, configuration, data and content. Because we build on open-source technology like Shopware, you're not tied to proprietary systems and could in principle hand operations to another team. We document cleanly – vendor lock-in is not our business model.
