Spare parts, portals and AI for mechanical engineering wired to your ERP

We build Shopware B2B portals for spare parts and service, connect them to your ERP and add AI that finds the right part from a photo, a serial number or a bill of materials.

Where spare parts and service get stuck

Five problems that can slow down aftersales in mechanical engineering. They are usually connected.

  • Requests by phone and email

Customers can hardly find the right part in PDF catalogues and exploded drawings. So they call or send an email, and your service staff look up the part number.

  • Shop and ERP apart

Prices, stock and orders are maintained twice. What the shop shows does not always match what applies in the ERP.

  • Still on Shopware 5

Shopware 5 has not received official security updates since the end of July 2024. The same applies to Shopware's in-house extensions.

  • New EU obligations

The reporting obligations of the Cyber Resilience Act have applied since 11 September 2026. Manufacturers of products with digital elements must inform affected users about actively exploited vulnerabilities, including products already on the market. That takes a way to reach your customers.

  • Invisible in AI search

When buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews about spare parts or suppliers, the answers cite vendors with clear, findable product and service content. Without it, you are easily passed over.

What we build for machine builders

Shop, ERP and AI from one team. Each service leads to its detail page.

How we work

Four steps from the intro call to day-to-day operations.

  1. 01

    Needs analysis

We get to know your goals, systems and data.

  2. 02

    Workshop

Together we work out a prototype and a project plan.

  3. 03

    Delivery

Agile sprints with regular check-ins and tests.

  4. 04

    Go-live

Deployment and training, then hosting, maintenance and further development if you want.

Use cases

Three scenarios showing how shop, ERP and AI can work together in mechanical engineering.

  • Example scenario

    Spare part from a photo

A service technician photographs a wear part. The AI agent suggests matching items from the bill of materials and the ERP and adds the confirmed part to the Shopware cart.

  • Example scenario

    One portal after a merger

Two merged machine builders combine their spare parts catalogues and price lists in one portal, connected to the leading ERP.

  • Example scenario

    From request to quote

An AI agent captures requests that arrive as PDF or email, matches them against the items in the ERP and hands inside sales a draft quote.

Example scenarios for illustration, not customer references.

Frequently asked questions

Your question isn't here? Ask us directly

Which ERP systems do you work with?
We connect ERP, inventory management and PIM systems, SAP included. Which interfaces your system offers, we clarify in the needs analysis.
We still run a Shopware 5 shop. What now?
Shopware 5 has not received official security updates since the end of July 2024. We migrate to Shopware 6 in four phases: analysis and mapping, data migration with validation, parallel storefront development and cutover with monitoring. Interfaces are set up in parallel. The Shopware Migration Calculator gives you a first estimate of cost and duration.
Does AI part identification work with our data?
That depends on your bills of materials, part numbers and images. In the intro call we look at examples from your catalogue to see how well they fit. With very similar variants, a check by specialists still makes sense.
Do we need a new ERP for this?
Usually not. Your ERP stays the leading system for items, prices and stock. Shop and AI access it through interfaces.
Does a customer portal help with the CRA and the Data Act?
A portal can be the channel you use to inform customers about vulnerabilities and to provide machine data. Since 11 September 2026, the Cyber Resilience Act has required manufacturers to inform affected users about actively exploited vulnerabilities. A portal does not replace the legal assessment; for that you need legal advice.
How do we start?
With a 30-minute intro call, no pitch. You get an honest assessment, including rough costs. We usually reply within one business day.
