Shopware Agency · Hosting & operations

Shopware hosting,operations included

We don't run our own data centers – and that's precisely the point. Hosting runs at our partner maxcluster, specialised in e-commerce. Setup, deployments, monitoring, updates and incident response are on us. You have one contact for shop and server.

The shop is slow. The host says: it's the code. The agency says: it's the server. And you sit in between losing revenue while two vendors pass responsibility back and forth. That's exactly the game we end – with hosting and shop operations under one responsibility.

Host and agency pass responsibility back and forth when problems occur – and your shop stays slow.

Updates get postponed out of fear of outages until security gaps and incompatibilities pile up.

Black Friday, a TV spot or a newsletter peak – and the shop buckles exactly when it matters most.

What matters for Hosting & operations

Shopware needs an e-commerce stack, not standard web hosting. Redis for sessions and cache, OpenSearch for search, proper PHP tuning and well-designed HTTP caching decide whether listings respond in milliseconds or seconds. Generic hosting packages are the wrong foundation for shops with real order volume.

The deployment process is part of hosting. Changing things directly on the live system risks the checkout with every update. A staging environment, a pipeline and rollback capability belong to operations like backups do – they turn updates into routine instead of risk.

Observability beats reaction time. Good monitoring doesn't just show that the shop is down, but why it is getting slower: APM data such as server response times per route, slow queries and error rates. That way we fix causes before they become outages.

Load peaks are plannable. Black Friday, campaigns and seasonal business announce themselves – the environment has to be sized, tested and observed during the peak. Scaling only once the shop is already down means the revenue of that hour is gone.

What hosting & operations covers with us

Managed hosting at maxcluster

An e-commerce-optimised stack with PHP tuning, Redis, OpenSearch and Varnish – run by a host specialised in shops, sized for your order volume.

Deployments & CI/CD

Releases run through a pipeline with staging environment and rollback – no FTP uploads, no changes directly on the live system.

Monitoring & alerting

Server response times, error rates and checkout health are under continuous observation (including Tideways). We see problems before your customers report them.

Updates & security

Shopware updates, plugin updates and security patches in fixed rhythms, tested on staging. Optionally combined with our second-level support with SLA.

Why hosting & operations with nextlevels

Hosting can be bought anywhere. The difference is who understands the shop behind it and takes responsibility for both.

  1. One responsibility instead of a blame game

Shop code, deployments and server configuration sit with one team. When something breaks, we fix it – instead of pointing at others.

  2. Specialised hosting partner

maxcluster runs e-commerce infrastructure as its core business. We combine their stack with our Shopware know-how into one package.

  3. Peak-proven

Our largest client shops process more than 6,000 orders daily. Load peaks, campaigns and seasonal business are routine for us.

  4. Operations with SLA

Monitoring, update rhythms and response times are contractually defined – combinable with our second-level support.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't nextlevels run its own servers?
Because specialised hosting is a craft of its own. maxcluster has been running e-commerce infrastructure for years with stacks optimised for shops. We focus on what we do best: the shop and its operations. You get both under one responsibility – without us pretending to a hosting competence that is better placed elsewhere.
What does Shopware hosting with operations cost?
Hosting costs depend on traffic, order volume and setup and go to maxcluster; the operations services (deployments, monitoring, updates) are a monthly package from us. For most shops the total lands in the low to mid four-figure range per month – we'll make a concrete offer after a look at your shop.
Can you take over our existing shop?
Yes. We analyse the existing setup, plan the move with a minimal cutover window and take over operations and monitoring afterwards. Even if your shop should stay with another host, we can take over deployments, updates and monitoring.
How do you handle load peaks like Black Friday?
Proactively: we size the environment before peak phases, test under load and monitor live during the event. Our largest client shops process more than 6,000 orders a day – load peaks are routine for us, not an emergency.
What happens during an outage?
Monitoring and alerting fire before most customers notice. Depending on the agreed SLA we respond within defined times, communicate transparently and document the root cause. Backups and rollback strategies are part of every setup.
